Looking for a new series to jump into? Try this weeks comic recs! Our first recommendation for this week is the supernatural murder mystery, Rogue Sun. Rogue Sun is about Dylan Siegel, who inherits the mantle of Rogue Sun from his father Marcus and sets out to protect the world and solve the mystery of his father’s murder. Issue 1 is out now. Let use know if you’re interested in a copy!

Our second recommendation is not a #1 issue but is still a great point to jump in: Something Is Killing The Children #22. This series follows Erica Slaughter, a rogue agent from the house of slaughter. Issue 22 focuses on her investigating a small town being tormented by a serial killer. If you’d like a copy of issue 22 let us know.

If you’re looking to start a new series take a look at Canceled by David Bryne. Canceled follows the story of a former kid-show host gets electrocuted and sucked into the airwaves and wrecks havoc across 4 eras. The series includes 4 different artists with 4 unique art styles. Let us know if you’re interested in a copy of issue 1.

Eight Million Genies is an upcoming series about a world where everyone has their own personal genie and one wish. Issue 1 is set to be May 11th. Let us know if you’re interested.

Looking for a new series to enjoy? Consider checking out Twig! Twig is a new fantasy adventure series by writer Skottie Young and artist Kyle Stahm that’s set to be released this May. If you’re interested in following Twig on his new journey, let us know!

If you’re interested in something with a little more edge, check out the upcoming series Grim by Stephanie Phillips and Flaviano. Grim follows the story of Jessica Harrow, a woman on a mission to solve her own death. This series is also set to release in May so if you’re interested let us know!

If you’re looking to pick up a new series try Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country. James Tynion IV works with Lisandro Estherren to create a brand new horror series and add more to the Sandman Universe. Issue #1 is available, let us know if you’re interested in grabbing a copy.

West of Sundown is a perfect mix of westerns and horror by Tim Seeley and Aaron Campbell following a vampire attempting to escape monster hunters in New York City and adapting to the new world as she searches for the soil of her homeland to heal her wounds. Let us know if you’re interested in a copy. Issue #1 is available now.

Looking for a new series to jump into or great comics for someone just starting out?

Check out Ghost Cage from Image Comics. Filled with wacky, larger than life sci-fi art from Nick Dragotta, the series is accessible and exciting. Ghost Cage will be a three issue mini series and we have #1’s available. Let us know if you want a copy of the first issue held or for it to be added to your pull!

Batman: Killing Time is a smoothly based detective story set in Batman’s early days. No need to worry about feeling out of the loop, this six issue series is the perfect starting point, especially for anyone who liked the new The Batman movie. #1’s are available so just let us know and we will reserve one for you!

“We Have Demons” is a new series by the creative team of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, most notable for their work in “Batman”.

Jesse James Baer transitioned from independent filmmaker to the creator of the noir-horror Burlap comic series. Come get your favorite issue signed by the writer himself!

Tom Whalen has created his own unique style with his love of design and illustration, working for brands like Marvel, Disney, and even the Beatles; he is also the cover artist for two New Wave store variants, Undiscovered Country, and Gideon Falls!

Khoi Pham is an artist and mentor, with cover art featured by DC, Marvel, and others. Khoi will be bringing some of his most popular prints, and will also be signing his art for two New Wave store variants, Death or Glory and X-O Manowar!
