Take a step outside time with Eternal Masters. This exciting set lets you draw on some of the most sought-after cards from throughout the history of Magic—some with new artwork—to enhance your Cube or your favorite Commander, Vintage, and Legacy decks.  Eternal Masters is designed to be a unique and enjoyable Draft experience, much like Modern Masters. Psst! We’re having a pre-release and you’re invited! On Sunday, June 5 at 12noon, will be hosting the MLP CCG Marks in Time prerelease.

• Each participant will receive eight Marks in Time booster packs.
• The participants will have 45 minutes to put together a deck out of the cards they get in the packs. The main deck should have no fewer than 30 cards, & no fewer than 5 problem cards.
• Participants will then partake in a Swiss-system tournament.
  The games will be played best of one.

If you don’t pull any starting problems, that’s ok! We will have plenty of EO Block starting problems for you to borrow. Just remember to return them at the end of the tournament. Thieves will have their right hand cut off.  You’re allowed to bring your own Mane to use, but we ask that it be an Ambassador card. If you don’t have one, we’ll be able to provide you with one. The same rule applies with the problems, so if you like your right hand, mark sure to return them. If you happen to pull a Mane in a pack, you may use it instead of an Ambassador.

Due to Skippack’s Spring Festival, OUR PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED on Free Comic Book Day, Sat. May 7. There will be parking spots available in the areas marked Lot 2 & Lot 3 on the map below (behind Mal’s American Diner). Additionally, parking is available throughout the Village, including behind the Victorian Carriage Shops (at our shop’s original location <3 ), near Justin’s Carriage House Restaurant & Bar, & across the street at Skippack Sweet Spot.

Free Comic Book Day is only 2 weeks away!  Local artist, Tom Whalen, designed the above poster exclusively for New Wave Comics this year.  You can pick yours up for $25 during FCBD & Tom will even be around to sign copies.  Quantities are extremely limited — only 100 prints will be available, so get into the shop early!  Check out our previous post for a schedule of all FCBD events.

Our favorite Stormtrooper will be joining us again to celebrate our third Free Comic Book Day 😀 Please join us Saturday, May 7, 11am-7pm!

Here’s our schedule for the day:

• Pick up your free comic book (a complete list is here, please note that not all titles will be available), 11am—7pm.
• Huge store-wide sale including $1 books & variants ranging from $2 & up, 11am—7pm.
• Meet comic book artist, Tom Whalen! He’ll have limited exclusive prints & sketches, 11am—2pm.
• Meet some folks from comic book publishers, Zenescope!  They’ll have giveaways & giveaways with purchase including comics, nylon bags, & calendars, raffles, & free kids posters; 11am—5pm.
• Meet the very best Stormtrooper, 1pm—4pm.
• Meet a My Little Pony; villain Nightmare Moon will be in the shop 11am—2pm.
• Free popcorn from The Great American Popcorn Works​ while it lasts 🙂
