July 4, 4th of July Parade: The parade begins at 11:00am, traveling down down Skippack Pike (Route 73), thru the heart of Skippack Village. A barbecue at Parc Bistro begins at at 3pm, and fireworks start at dusk in Palmer Park, near Skippack Elementary School, with parking areas off of Heckler Road and Creamery Road. >> Click for more details.
July 5, First Friday in July: The fun begins at 5pm and lasts til 9pm. Shops stay open late and musicians, artists and family entertainers enliven sidewalks, porches, shops and restaurants throughout the village. July 16-20, Annual Skippack Summer Carnival: Head over to 4059 Skippack Pike (across the street from the Basta Pasta) for an old-fashioned carnival, with bright lights, popcorn, cotton candy, games, and rides! The carnival will be held Tuesday, July 16 thru Friday, July 19 from 6 til 10pm, and Saturday, July 20, from 3 til 6pm. >> Click for more info.
July 24, US Nation (US tribut band) FREE concert: Free concert for all ages, 6:30-8:30 pm, 4059 Skippack Pike, across the street from Basta Pasta. Bring your blanket or chairs and enjoy the music and soaking in the Skippack atmosphere. The concert site will have a variety of vendors available, offering you their one of a kind arts, crafts, jewelry, and tasty food. We also have a moonbounce for the kids.
July 27, Trash-to-Treasure Sale: Multi-vendor yard sale held in the heart of Skippack Village, 4059 Skippack Pike, across from Basta Pasta. You might be asking yourself, “what comic should I read that I might not know about?” Savage Wolverine #6 is the start of a new story arc by Zeb Wells, Joe Madureira and Peter Steigerwald. This features not only Wolverine and Spiderman, but also the Kingpin, Elektra, the Avengers, Lady Bullseye and the Hand. Basically, Wolverine and Elektra have to join the Kingpin to thwart the resurrection of a deadly villain. There’s also an introduction of a new villain trio, the Arbiters.
